NBA 2K Mobile - News - Summer Update

Summer is here! Prepare the banana boat!

OK, well, given the heat dome across most of the U.S., summer has already been here for a bit. But here at NBA 2K Mobile headquarters, we're rolling out a new summer update.

Let's get into it.

Fandom and Franchise Cards

Team Cards are not enough! Team Cards represent only a single season for that team. You want something bigger, right?

How about the entire Franchise?

Franchise Cards are forever, spanning multiple seasons of Rewind. You'll earn Franchise Cards by completing a team's entire Fandom tree. Unlock all the nodes, and you earn the Franchise. Franchise Cards increase the number of Team Cards players can earn and boosts Team Card bonuses.

By playing through the new season, you can earn duplicate Franchise Cards, which auto-upgrade your original. These upgrades boost your Team Card progress at higher and higher rates.

Fandom and Specialization

Fandom introduced a customization option for players. Pick your favorite team and spend Fandom Points to unlock Skills, such as improved Playmaking, PWR boosts and extra Rewind points.

Now, we're expanding the range of specialization. Once you complete a team's entire Fandom tree, you'll unlock additional nodes that provide:

• Higher style bonuses

• Unlocks for all the team's top plays

• Double gear points

If you elect to switch your favorite team, the Specialization Nodes for your original team are temporarily deactivated. The nodes are reactivated if you decide to switch back.

Rewind Updates

In addition to the offseason "rivalry weeks" that are ongoing, we've also tuned up some aspects of Rewind.

• Replays are now two-minute quarters instead of five minutes, raising the stakes for every minute on the court.

• Objectives were updated, putting new and/or improved challenges into the mix.

• Nipping and tucking around the user interface, making things easier to read on smaller devices.

Everything Else

• Keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming code release. The free code releases are aimed primarily at new players, kitting out their first teams, and they're especially useful for upgrades and mentors.

• The final tier for Season 7 is out there … somewhere.
