Road to the Finals Starts Now
The Playoffs have arrived, and with them comes a brand-new way to play in NBA 2K Mobile. We’re introducing Road to the Finals, a progression-based board experience where every roll moves you closer to more rewards. Along the way, you’ll take on teams in Frenzy, race the clock and your memory in Shot Clock Challenge, and start building your collection of our all-new Foil Cards.
Let’s run it from the top.
Road to the Finals

At the center of everything is the Road to the Finals board. You’ll earn Dice Rolls through gameplay and use them to move across the board, landing on spaces that reward you with everything from extra rolls, to Gems, coins, and card rewards. Each roll pushes you forward, and the more you stay in rhythm, the more opportunities you’ll have to stack rewards.
As you make your way around the board, you’ll complete laps. Every completed lap adds bonus rewards, and there’s no limit to how far you can go. The longer you stay on the road, the better the returns. Each roll builds on the last and consistency and momentum fuels rewards.

Every week, the board resets putting you back at Lap 1 to allow for new rewards to be earned each week, but your rolls, earned rewards, and gems all stay with you.
Not every space will work in your favor, though. While many will reward you with helpful items like rolls, gems, or other loot, some spaces will set you back by moving you backwards or losing a die. It’s all part of the journey, and every roll carries a bit of risk, but mostly reward.
As you progress across the board, you’ll earn Gems, a key currency tied to Road to the Finals. Gems can be spent in the Quick Shop for top rewards. You’ll earn Gems through board spaces and lap completion, and just like with Dice Rolls, there’s no cap on how many you can collect.
Frenzy

Road to the Finals isn’t just about the board. It also feeds directly into Frenzy, a new and reworked version than what some of you may know, where you’ll take on playoff teams in a series of matchups. Each team comes with its own set of objectives, including winning the matchup and completing additional challenges. As you check those off, you’ll move along the reward track and unlock new matchups.
To jump into Frenzy, you’ll need Frenzy Energy, which you’ll earn one for every three Dice Rolls you spend and also on the Draft Board. Each matchup will cost one energy, and there’s no cap to how much energy you can hold on to.
If the matchup doesn’t go your way, you’re not sent back to square one. Any objectives you completed still count, and you can keep pushing forward to finish all the objectives to maximize your rewards earned on the track.
Before each game, you’ll also have ways to tilt things in your favor. Power Boosts can temporarily raise your MyTeam’s PWR, while Free Agents can give you a one-matchup edge when you need it most. Use them at the right moment, and they can be the difference in a tight matchup.
Frenzy refreshes weekly with new teams and rewards, keeping things in step with the Playoffs picture.
Shot Clock Challenge

Another familiar name for some, Shot Clock Challenge. This reworked version brings familiarity as it’s is a timed memory game where you’ll need to match cards before the clock runs out. Each run requires 24 Shot Clock Seconds to play, and those seconds are earned through Frenzy, the Draft Board, and other parts of the game.
If you run out of time mid-run, you’ll have the option to add more seconds to jump right back in and continue. Have more than 24 seconds? Those will live in the Overflow. Overflow seconds will automatically add time to the clock if you run out, so nothing goes to waste and you can continue scoring rewards.
Can you clear all 20 levels of Shot Clock Challenge?
Foil Cards
Foil cards are a new way to elevate your collection to the next level. Foil cards don’t just look different, but they play different too. Along with standing out with their sheen and glimmer, each Foil card also comes with a +1 stat boost.
A crafting option will be added in the near future that will allow you to craft certain Foil cards to add them to your collection.
If you own a Foil version, it will automatically display in your collection, and any upgrades or training will carry into that version. It’s a clean upgrade that adds both style and a little extra edge to your lineup from here on out.
The Road Starts Now
The Playoffs are all about runs… who gets hot, who stays locked in, and who can carry it all the way.
Now it’s your turn.
Roll through the board, take on playoff matchups, and stack your rewards as you chase the Finals.
Your road starts now.
