From Season 7 to Season 8: What's Next

Season 7 was one for the books. From unforgettable matchups to record-breaking collections, you showed out all year long, and now it’s time to turn the page.

Season 8 of NBA 2K Mobile is almost here, and it’s loaded. But before we Tip-Off Season 8, let’s close out Season 7 first! Here’s a few things to note as we round it out.

Your Cards, Your Progress - No Resets

First things first, there won’t be a reset for the upcoming season. Outside of Fandom (we’ll talk more about this in a bit), you’ll keep all your cards, items, collectibles, etc.

Fandom is Here to Stay

Fandom isn’t going anywhere and here’s what to expect in Season 8!

• Skill Trees: Your skill trees will be reset and we’ll be introducing new unique trees with different structures.

• Points Carry Over: Don’t worry, 20% of your earned Fandom Points will carry over to Season 8, helping you kick off your new Skill Trees with a head start.

• Switching Teams: This one is straight from community requests. We’ve reduced the amount required to change teams.

Rewind is Leveling Up

Rewind is continuing to evolve as we head into a new season.

• Season 7 Content: Season 7 Rewind content will continue to reward Team, Style and Play Cards.

• No Progress Lost: Everything you earned in Season 7 stays in your collection

• Updated Rewards: You’ll still earn Style Cards and Team Cards from Season 7 content, but packs for Top Plays will no longer be rewarded

• Backwards Compatibility: Season 8 Rewind cards will work in both Season 7 and Season 8 Rewind content, but Season 7 Rewind cards will remain limited to Season 7 Rewind content

• Filters: We’ve added filters to the Rewind Calendar to help you easily find content to earn Style and Play cards

• New Cards for a New Season: Collect new ‘25-'26 Team and Style Cards to help level up your game

• Two-Week Leaderboards: Rewind will feature a two-week leaderboard structure, as previously done during Season 7

A Sneak Peek at Season 8 Features

• No White Shoes: Out with the old and in with the new! Our (not so) favorite white shoes are getting some color! Shoes will now represent their team’s colors.

• Shot Feedback: We’re improving shot feedback to give you clearer, more accurate insights on your releases. Fine-tune your jumper, master your rhythm, and take your game to the next level.

Stay tuned for more… This isn’t all we have coming in Season 8! More details of what’s to come and an official launch date is soon!
